To-do list

This is my list for today, and probably the week, drawn up when I arrived at work at 8:15 this morning:

  • clear Outlook folders--one of the most boring exercises ever: it means delete all the old emails and tasks, which means I have to scan them all
  • clear cart--there aren't too many things on it, for a change
  • sort piles of paper and file--ick
  • Demand order--new cards to enter items against, etc. etc.
  • 'On the Fly' box--all the little coding problems; it's full and that means at least a couple of hours
  • book drop sheet--the old one is nearly full
  • bottom shelf--stuff that wasn't in OCLC when we first got it; I'm betting I clear at least 50% of what is there if I recheck OCLC this week [all empty, except one CD-ROM!]
  • fix reserves on Eldest--they aren't in order chronologically and it's making me nuts
  • prep for Thursday class--"Using the Client Interface to OCLC Connexion" yawn (it's an online/phone class, here, and all I need to do is make sure I have whatever handouts are necessary and know how to log in and so forth
  • do Thursday class (duh!)
  • fix Easy nonfic animal call numbers so they match--shouldn't all the penguin books be shelved together?? And the frog books...and the turtles.... (added 9/1)
  • run lists--end of the month: new adult books, new media; items added in August (added 9/1)

I really don't want to do any of this. I really want to be asleep. And it's colder than heck in here. Again. But lunch break is over, so here I go.
