Photos to virtual reality

Microsoft is working on creating a virtual reality using "everyone's" pictures. Watch this video. It sounds like it could turn into a wonderful reference for armchair travelers and (of course) reference librarians: "What's the name of that restaurant near the Louvre?" "Here, let's go look..."
